Sapphire Medical Clinics Opens 5th UK Location in Edinburgh

Sapphire Medical Clinics, the UK's largest specialist medical cannabis prescribing network, has opened its fifth UK location in Edinburgh's Leith Walk medical quarter. The new clinic will serve patients across Scotland and the North of England. The Edinburgh clinic follows the successful launch of Sapphire's Bristol location earlier this year and brings the total number of face-to-face consultation slots available through the network to over 200 per week. Telemedicine appointments continue to be available for patients who cannot attend in person. Scotland has seen particularly high demand for medical cannabis services, with NHS waiting times for pain management and mental health services pushing patients towards private alternatives. The Scottish Government has indicated support for expanded access to evidence-based cannabis therapies. Lead prescriber Dr. Fiona MacLeod told journalists: "We're seeing patients who have been suffering for years. Medical cannabis isn't a first-line treatment, but for treatment-resistant conditions it can be genuinely life-changing." Consultations at the Edinburgh clinic are priced at 150 GBP for new patients.
